History

Remei India started as one of the first pioneering organic cotton projects in the world in the year 1991-1992 initiated by Mr Patrick Hohmann with its objective to improve small farmers’ livelihood through organic farming of cotton and other crops.

The organic farming business Remei India (formerly bioRe India) evolved contineously over the years.

Today Remei India works participatively with around 3'000 small holders in Kasrawad in Madhya Pradesh.

Remei India is the first organic cotton based company to have developed its own Non GM cotton seeds and  to have prestigious DSIR recognistion from goverment of India for its research and development wing.
