Remei Group

Remei India is an organic farming company in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. As part of a unique international network - the Remei Group - Remei India is a raw material supplier at the beginning of the Remei supply chain for the production of quality organic cotton textiles .

Remei India has been working participatively with small farmers from the region since the 1991 and promotes organic cotton cultivation around Kasrawad. The farmers receive a purchase guarantee from Remei for their raw material as well as an additional premium of 15% above the local market price.

Remei India is responsible for the sustainable product quality of the raw material, from the supply of the GMO-free seeds to the farmers, to accompanying and advising the farmers in organic cultivation, to the organic certification of the raw cotton, to the ginning of the raw material, which the company supplies to the partner spinning mills in the Remei supply chain.

In addition to its core business of growing organic cotton, the company offers other organic crops grown in rotation on the organic cotton fields, such as organic maize, organic soybeans, organic wheat and organic sorghum, among others.
